What you need
- Your Carolina Smart Blinds (Wi-Fi motor, or any motor paired with our Smart Link hub)
- The Amazon Alexa app on your phone
- An Echo speaker or Echo Show (Zigbee motors can pair directly with Echo models that have a built-in Zigbee hub)
- Your home Wi-Fi name and password (2.4GHz)
Step by step

Set up your blinds in the blinds app
During installation we add your shades to the smart blinds app on your phone and give each one a simple name like "Living Room".

Open the Alexa app
Tap "More" at the bottom, then "Skills & Games", and search for the smart blinds skill we recommend at setup.

Enable the skill and sign in
Tap "Enable to Use" and log in with the same account you use in the blinds app. This links the two together.

Discover your blinds
Alexa will search for devices. Your shades appear with the same names you gave them.

Put them in a room
Add each shade to an Alexa group like "Bedroom" so you can say "Alexa, close the bedroom blinds".

- "Alexa, open the living room blinds"
- "Alexa, close all the blinds"
- "Alexa, set the bedroom shades to 50 percent"
