What you need
- Your Carolina Smart Blinds with a Thread or Matter motor
- An iPhone with the Home app (already installed on every iPhone)
- A home hub: HomePod, HomePod mini or Apple TV (needed for Thread and away-from-home control)
- The QR code on your motor or setup card (we leave it with you)
Step by step

Open the Home app
On your iPhone, open the Home app and tap the "+" button in the top corner.

Tap "Add Accessory"
Your camera opens, ready to scan.

Scan the QR code
Point your camera at the code on the motor or setup card. Your iPhone finds the shade automatically.

Name it and pick a room
Give the shade a simple name like "Bedroom Blinds" and choose its room.

Ask Siri
Say "Hey Siri, close the bedroom blinds". That is it.
